Big Cojones & Balls of Steel

For the past few month, Patrick Brown have been experimenting with a new drawing style. After some practice and few sketches, Patrick finally completed tributes to two most dangerous men in America, Tommy Vercetti and Niko Bellic.

Some might recognize Ray Liotta in this portrait of Tommy. That might be because Miami's gangster was based and voiced by famous on-screen bad-boy, so no wonder Patrick drew his inspiration from him for this piece. Patrick managed to capture the essence of a well-known face while still making the character look distinct from the actor that portrayed him.

There is a quite a bit more painting in illustrations, which Patrick Brown been trying to incorporate and make to work with his original lines and pencil work. The new style could have a love–hate response from fans, but everyone would agree that those two look bad-ass.

Umberto Robina: Anyway, I wanted to tell you, me and Papi, to us, you Cuban. You have proved yourself, man. You got big cojones.
Tommy Vercetti: Well thank you, Umberto. Nobody's said that to me since I left jail.
Gracie Ancelotti: I'll scratch your fuckin' eyes out!
Niko Bellic: Scratch my fuckin' balls, bitch!

Rockstar North Site Re-Launch

For a very long time, Rockstar North has had a flash site as their main website featuring small glimpses into the development of Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City as well as fan goodies such as desktop wallpapers and artwork. However, this website stopped receiving updates after the release of San Andreas. And now it looks like Rockstar North is in the process of a make over as their main page has now been replaced with a "Coming Soon" image.

It's interesting to note that while Rockstar North's page is getting a new look, other Rockstar studios are having their websites taken down and just redirected to their respective Rockstar Games' jobs page. It will be very interesting to see what new look will be chosen to represent this iconic studio.
